| It all started at the tender age of 13 years old, on a rusty weight set in the basement. Over the next two years, as the passion for the sport grew, the equipment began to grow as well. A complete Weider home fitness set equipped with a stairmaster, a rowing machine, and an exercise bike. Entering into high school at a bodyweight of 95 pounds and graduating at a weight of 165 pounds, the results were starting to show. During the high school years, I began to learn about diet and nutrition from my wrestling coaches and from other atheletes at the gym. At age 17, I entered into my first natural championship bodybuilding show and finished with a respectable 4th place trophy; after being bumped from the 13-17 year old class to the 18 -19 year olds class due to my bodyweight. Over the next few years as I became more knowledgeable of the sport, and started to improve greatly. I competed in many natural bodybuilding shows offered by some of the top organizations in the world(National Physique Committee, National Gym Association, International Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness.etc). At age 22, I was in a motorcycle accident which resulted in torn ligaments in my shoulder. It took several years to rebuild the damage from the accident, but with hard work and determination, I have been able to return to bodybuilding competition. Year 2003 was an exciting year for me. I was able to successfully return to the natural bodybuilding world. I received a respectable 4th place in an INBF show that included some great competition. I was planning on competing in several shows early in the year (2003) but a stomach virus forced me to pull out of the shows. After consulting with my nutrionist and trainers, we decided to take a year off to focus on adding more quality muscle to my physique. . With many trophies on the wall, the desire to be #1 still burns. Trying to achieve natural bodybuilding greatness, and earn the highly coveted pro card has become my top priority. Watch as the Saga continues, and the journey unfolds, turning dreams into a reality. |
